Improve this question. Alex I'd not call the Rashidun invasion colonization. It wasn't followed by a stream of Arab settlers as it did in Levant.

Iraq already had Arab tribes who were vassals of Persian Empire. The only former territories of Persian Empire that saw influx of Arab settlers were Arab provinces of the Empire.
